Founded by the Yip family in Newmarket, Ontario, Foundation Counts exists to strengthen the joy, peace, and hope of individuals and families in the local community. We are guided by compassion and rooted in service with a strong emphasis on providing a hand up to our neighbours and planting seeds of hope that they can carry through all seasons of life.

Christmas Hamper Program
The Christmas Hamper Program started in 2018 in collaboration with the Markham Food Bank and Logos Baptist Church as a small initiative to show our neighbours that they are seen and loved during the holiday season. 7 years later, in 2024, we were able to provide 670 hampers and over 800 gifts to families in the community.

Easter Community Dinner
In partnership with Logos Baptist Church, the Easter Community Dinner became an extension of the Christmas Hamper Program in 2023. It is an opportunity for us to invite individuals and families to share a traditional Chinese banquet style dinner with us while celebrating hope and the power of community.

Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers
Rose of Sharon is a non-profit organization based in Newmarket that provides support and educational services for young mothers under the age of 29. The foundation supports the operations of one of their key programs, Rosie’s Closet, which accepts community donations to offer free access to essential baby and maternity items.
